What to do if V-Control Pro no longer detects the Ethernet Surface

When using an ethernet surface with V-Control Pro such as the ProControl, Control|24 or C|24, and it can no longer be detected, go through these steps:

  • Verify that the ethernet cable is securely plugged in on both ends.
  • Open the Network Settings Preferences and verify the computer can see the Ethernet connection.
  • On the back of the Ethernet surface, look at the ethernet port and see if it’s active.  This can be identified by a light around the port with a green light.

If all is verified, try reset the V-Control Pro preferences and setup the ethernet controller again. View how to reset the preferences HERE.
