Sometimes Pro Tools on Windows has problems using V-Control Pro’s virtual Midi ports after installing or updating V-Control Pro. We recommend you follow this procedure to fix it.
- In Pro Tools, open the MIDI Peripherals panel.
- Set all four peripherals to None.
- Open the MIDI Input Devices window in Pro tools.
- Disable all ports in the MIDI Input Devices Window.
- Quit Pro Tools
- Quit V-Control Pro.
- Launch V-Control Pro in Administrator Mode.
- Launch Pro Tools in Administrator Mode.
- In Pro Tools, open the MIDI Input Devices Window.
- Enable only the V-Control Pro ports.
- In Pro Tools, open the MIDI Peripherals panel.
- Configure the HUI peripherals using V-Control Pro’s virtual Midi ports.
NOTE: Both V-Control Pro and Pro Tools should always be run in Administrator Mode for Windows Users.
NOTE: Ensure that V-Control Pro is allowed to pass through any firewall settings in Windows for V-Control Pro to send incoming messages properly.
