A few users see a problem where they get a new, modern Mac and their directly connected ethernet surface such as C24, Control 24, Pro Control, etc. doesn’t connect. It is not clear why but it might be that the old, 10-Base T ethernet used by those surfaces is a problem for newer Mac hardware. But it shoudl not be a problem. A couple workarounds are suggested. One, use a low-cost ethernet switch between the Mac and the ethernet surface. Second, use a USB-C ethernet adapter.
