After an iLok license has been deposited to your iLok account, you must activate it to a location.
Activation Locations #
- Computer - the license is activated to your computer system.
- iLok USB Key - the license is activated on the small dongle that can be moved between different computers
Two Ways To Activate A License #
- iLok License Manager Application - This powerful application lets you manage all your licenses.
- Activation Dialog - The plug-in or application can present a wizard dialog that lets you select an available license and select an activation location.
Activation Using iLok License Manager #
The iLok License Manager is a powerful standalone application that lets you mange all your licenses and locations.
- Launch iLok License Manager
- Sign in to your iLok user account.
- Select the Available Licenses tab.
- Locate the license.
- Click the license and drag it to the location to activate it to.
Activation Using An Activation Dialog #
If a plug-in or application does not see an activated license, it will display a dialog that will guide you to activate a license. With V-Control Pro you can see the dialog by selecting the "Activate License..." menu.
- When the dialog appears, click the "Activate" button.
- Log in to your iLok user account.
- A list of license available for activation will be shown. Select the license to activate.
- Select a location.
